Hexagon Park | Bolton 

# Construction

Initial infrastructure investment at Hexagon Park has comprised three key workstreams that have prepared the site for future employment development.  
The first phase ecology works were completed in 2024 and included the construction of ecological ponds, habitat creation areas, ecological fencing and soft landscaping.  These works provide ecological mitigation and biodiversity enhancements associated with the development.

In early 2026, the A6 Chorley Road realignment was completed. The works included a new signal-controlled junction, turning lanes, footways, cycleways, highway drainage, earthworks and landscape bunding. These improvements have enhanced access and connectivity whilst also providing a more attractive setting for nearby residents, including those at Blue Bell Cottages.

The principal earthworks and infrastructure package is currently progressing on site and is expected to be completed in early 2027. This includes bulk earthworks, development platform formation, estate roads, sustainable drainage networks, utility infrastructure, a foul water pumping station, landscaping and construction of a primary electricity substation and distribution substation. These works provide the essential infrastructure required to support the development. Construction times for these works have been agreed with Bolton Council and are as follows:

08:00 – 18:00hrs Monday to Friday

08:00 – 13:00hrs Saturday

No works on Bank Holidays or Sundays

Together, these projects have delivered the strategic access, utilities, drainage, ecological mitigation and development platforms necessary to bring forward the employment development at Hexagon Park.
